What's new and on my mind at milkface

Friday, December 01, 2006

And so it begins...

We've got the keys on the store that we've leased - hooray! That's right, milkface is moving on to be an actual retail location. We've got loads of work to do (and much money to spend!) but we hope to be open by December 15th. I'm really looking forward to moving the business out of my house and having actual hours instead of working by appointment. I'm also very excited about having more space and being able to set up properly. We're also going to have a community space for LLL meetings, prenatal classes, CPR classes, etc, etc!

My husband and my brother have already taken up the carpets in the store and the walls have all been taped for painting. Andy (dh) is there right now putting the primer on the walls. Painting commences tomorrow - now I just have to decide what colour! We've got started on the sign and have bought most display/storage stuff that we need. Whew...it's going to be a busy week!

Where will the store be located? I'm excited! Will the Koala Moms Club meet there as well?
